Dr. Hong-An Wu is an Associate Professor at the Harry W. Bass Jr. School of Arts, Humanities, and Technology at The University of Texas at Dallas. She holds a B.A. in Sociology from National Taiwan University and M.A./Ph.D. in Art Education from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Her interdisciplinary research bridges arts education with critical game studies and feminist science and technology studies, focusing on emerging media technologies in education and their inequitable consequences. She co-directs the Studio for Mediating Play, exploring how play intersects with systems of power and social justice. Her work emphasizes critical pedagogies centered on care, repair, and social justice, with publications in journals like Catalyst: Feminism, Theory, Technoscience and Journal of Cultural Research in Art Education.
