Hon Sing Lee

Dr. Hon Sing Lee is an Associate Professor of Finance at the National University of Singapore (NUS) Business School. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management. His research focuses on financial modeling, Islamic finance, and financial intermediation. He teaches courses such as Financial Modelling, Investments, and Derivative Securities at the undergraduate and master’s levels, alongside executive training programs. Dr. Lee is deeply involved in student activities, serving as faculty advisor for the NUS Buddhist Society and NUS Investment Society, and as a judge in stock pitch competitions. He currently serves as a Resident Fellow of Raffles Hall and participates in the Community Engagement Programme. Additionally, he coordinates the CFA Institute Affiliation Programme at NUS, overseeing the annual CFA Research Challenge and Ethics Workshop. Under his mentorship, Singapore won the global CFA Research Challenge in 2009.

Dr. Lee has authored multiple textbooks and chapters on financial mathematics, financial markets, and management. He has received several teaching awards for his contributions to education. His professional roles include coordinating national and regional CFA student scholarships and administering the CFA Society Singapore Ethics Challenge annually.
