Holly Barnett is a researcher at the Department of Psychology, Lancaster University, funded by the EPSRC to investigate how psychological interventions improve misinformation detection and self-efficacy across age groups. Her research aims to enhance digital literacy and confidence in navigating emerging technologies.
She completed a First Class Honours BSc in Psychology at Lancaster University and spent a year abroad at Griffith University (Australia) with a GPA of 6.25. Her undergraduate work focused on social media appeals in missing persons cases.
Teaching: PSYC113 (Social Psychology in the Digital Age), PSYC116/PSYC136 (Personality and Individual Differences), PSYC224 (Psychological Research Methods).
Scientific awards:

She participated in conferences such as the Psychology Postgraduate Research Conference and Centre for Ageing Research (C4AR) Research Showcase, and contributed to school engagement activities like the FST Celebration of Science and Social Sciences School Talk.
