Dr. Holloway Sparks serves as a Lecturer in the Department of Political Science at Georgia State University's College of Arts and Sciences, specializing in American politics and political theory instruction.
Education:
- B.A. cum laude in English, Davidson College
- M.A. in Political Science, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill
- Ph.D. in Political Science, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill
Her research focuses on U.S. political protest and dissent within American Government frameworks, examining Democracy and Dissent in the U.S. through lenses of Political Ideologies and Modern/Contemporary Political Thought. Current pedagogical research investigates civic education methodologies, technology-enhanced teaching approaches, and modality impacts on large enrollment American government courses.

As Co-Coordinator of the POLS 1101 Introduction to American Government Master Course, she leads pedagogical training for PhD students and oversees curriculum innovation.
