PD Dr. Holger Tröbs is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of African Languages and Linguistics at Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz. His research focuses on functional grammar, language typology, and the study of Mande languages (Bambara, Jeli, Samogo) and Swahili. He conducts fieldwork in Mali, Burkina Faso, Côte d’Ivoire, and Tanzania.
