Hodjat Ghadimi

Hodjat Ghadimi is an Associate Professor in the School of Design and Community Development at West Virginia University's Davis College. He also holds a Faculty Research Associate position at the Regional Research Institute. His work bridges the rigor of social sciences with creative design, focusing on energy-rich regions and their economic transitions.

• Education: Ph.D. in City and Regional Planning (Ohio State University, 1993), MCRP (Ohio State University, 1987), BS in Architecture (Lawrence Technological University, 1979).

His research explores:

• Development planning in energy-rich regions
• Energy-built environment-economy interactions
• Transition from resource-based to diversified economies
• Ecological urban design

Recent projects include NSF-funded work on the Technology, Energy, Economy, and Environment (TEEE) Chain and USDA-funded research on woody biomass impacts in Appalachia. Dr. Ghadimi's methodological expertise lies in Computable General Equilibrium (CGE) modeling.
