Hoda Heidari is the K&L Gates Career Development Assistant Professor in Ethics and Computational Technologies at Carnegie Mellon University, with joint appointments in the Machine Learning Department and the Institute for Software, Systems, and Society. She is affiliated with the Human-Computer Interaction Institute, Heinz College of Information Systems and Public Policy, and co-leads the Responsible AI Initiative and K&L Gates Initiative for Ethics and Computational Technologies at CMU.
- Education: PhD in Computer and Information Science from University of Pennsylvania, MSc in Statistics from Wharton School.
Research Interests focus on the ethical, societal, and policy implications of AI, particularly algorithmic fairness, accountability, and governance for high-stakes applications. Her work addresses:
