Hoang Van Hoc

Hoang Van Hoc is an Artist Faculty specializing in Horn at the YST Conservatory of Music, part of the National University of Singapore. He holds a Master of Music from the Longy School of Music (2001) and a Masters Degree in Historical-Interpretations-Praxis from the Hochschule fuer Musik (HfMDK) in Frankfurt (2016). His career includes performances with top-tier orchestras in Germany and Singapore, as well as historical ensembles like MusicAeterna and Hamburg Barockorchester.

Van Hoc’s research interests span classical and historical performance practices, with expertise in natural horn techniques and baroque orchestral styles. His recordings include Sony’s *Don Giovanni* and Compagnia di Punto’s *Rosetti Symphonies*. He actively engages with Singapore’s music community through mentorship roles with ensembles like the Singapore Symphony Orchestra and Singapore National Youth Orchestra.

Van Hoc has collaborated with artists across genres, including Deep Purple and David Garrett, showcasing his versatility in diverse musical contexts. His educational background includes studies at the Hartt School of Music and further training with renowned instructors like Ulrich Huebner and Sibylle Mahni.
