معرفی
Hitesh Gakhar is an Instructor in the Department of Mathematics at Michigan State University (MSU). He holds a PhD in Mathematics from MSU (2020), where he studied under Jose Perea. His research focuses on topological data analysis (TDA), particularly in toroidal dynamical systems, persistent homology, and topological time series analysis. Current interests include topological dimensionality reduction and sliding window embeddings.
He has taught MTH 314: Matrix Algebra and is developing the curriculum for MTH 414: Linear Algebra II. Previously, he was a postdoctoral associate at the University of Oklahoma. His publications include work on quasiperiodic functions and lattice reduction methods in toroidal coordinates.
Recent professional activities include organizing special sessions at AMS meetings (2023), presenting at SIAM and Computational Geometry conferences, and delivering outreach lectures on topology for middle/high school students.
