Hilary Alwood is a Lecturer in the Department of Psychology at Texas A&M University, located in PSYC 220. Their research focuses on Social & Personality Psychology, with specialties in Positive Psychology, Psychology of Religion/Spirituality, and Gratitude Research. They contributed to a 2023 study on gratitude toward God and co-authored a 2022 handbook chapter on methodological diversity in psychology. Their 2020 work analyzed public attitudes toward U.S.-Mexico border policies.
Alwood’s teaching responsibilities include maintaining regular office hours during Fall 2023 (Tues 2:30-4pm, Wed 9:30-10:30am, Thurs 10-11:30am) and advising psychology students. While not currently accepting new students for 2024-2025, they maintain active involvement in research collaborations across multiple disciplinary areas.
