Heze Chen is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Applied Mathematics at the University of Virginia. His academic journey includes a BS in Civil Engineering from Zhejiang University of Technology (2016), and MS and PhD in Structural Engineering from the University of Virginia (2019 and 2023). He has worked on construction projects and transitioned into academia with a focus on teaching and applied mathematics.
