Herfried Geyer

Herfried Geyer serves as Professor and Deputy Academic Director of the IT Security (BA) program within the Department of Computer Science and Security at St. Pölten University of Applied Sciences. Based at Campus-Platz 1, Building B, he holds a full-time lecturer position and contributes to the Institute for IT Security Research.

Professional experience includes security consulting roles at Siemens AG Austria (1993–2011), Cis GmbH (2002–2014 for ISO 27001 audits), Atos IT Services GmbH (2011–2013), and Devoteam GmbH (2013–2014), blending practical implementation with academic instruction.

As a core member of the Institute for IT Security Research, Geyer drives curriculum development for the IT Security (BA) program.
