Herb Mattord is a Professor of Cybersecurity in the Department of Information Systems & Security at Kennesaw State University's Coles College of Business. He serves as Associate Director of the Coles Center for Cybersecurity Education and Director of the USGG London 2025 study abroad program, teaching courses for BBA and CYBR majors. His research focuses on information security practices, authentication methods, and cybersecurity education.

As a recipient of the SunTrust Fellowship (2016-2018) and the Most Influential Faculty Member award from ISA, Mattord combines academic research with industry practice, including managing the Cybersecurity Speaker Series which connects students with national cybersecurity professionals.
He coordinates study abroad programs in London, teaching courses like ISA 3710 and BUSA 3500 while helping students navigate credit equivalencies. His work bridges academic research with real-world business security needs through publications and industry collaborations.
