Henry Yeh

Dr. Henry Yeh is a Professor in the Electrical Engineering Department at California State University Long Beach (CSULB), where he has served since 1983. He held the role of Department Chair from 2016 to 2022. His expertise spans Machine Learning, real-time digital signal processing (DSP), wireless communication systems, and smart grid technologies. Yeh is a Senior Member of IEEE and a licensed Professional Engineer in Electrical Engineering.

Education: PhD and MS in Electrical Engineering, and MS in Mechanical Engineering from University of California, Irvine.

Research focuses on MATLAB-based algorithm development for communication systems, optimization, and control applications, with implementation via FPGA and DSP hardware. He leads the Multi-Disciplinary Neural Networks and DSP Lab at CSULB.

He has organized the IEEE Green Energy and Smart Systems Conference (IGESSC) since 2010 and holds seven U.S. patents. Recognitions include the National Academy of Inventors membership and multiple teaching/research awards from CSULB and IEEE.
