Dr. Henry S. Park is a Professor of Therapeutic Radiology at Yale School of Medicine, where he serves as Vice Chair for Clinical Research, Chief of Thoracic Radiotherapy Program, and Chief of PET-Guided Radiotherapy Program. At Yale Cancer Center, he is Assistant Medical Director of the Clinical Trials Office and leads the radiation oncology committee and lung clinical research team. He also heads Horstmann House in the Office of Student Affairs.
Dr. Park received his undergraduate degree from Yale College in 2007, followed by a Master's in Public Health from Harvard School of Public Health in 2012, and his MD from Yale School of Medicine in 2012. He completed his internal medicine internship at Harvard Medical School's Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in 2013, then returned to Yale for his radiation oncology residency and chief residency. He joined the Yale faculty in 2017 and was promoted to professor in 2025.
Dr. Park specializes in radiation therapy for lung and head and neck cancers. His research program spans clinical trials, real-world evidence, novel radiotherapy technology, and health services. He has published over 200 peer-reviewed articles and serves as an associate editor for Advances in Radiation Oncology and American Journal of Clinical Oncology. His work focuses on optimizing radiation treatment to maximize cancer damage while minimizing quality-of-life impacts.
Dr. Park's recent publications demonstrate a strong focus on lung cancer treatment, particularly non-small cell and small cell variants. His research integrates molecular markers, radiation techniques, and clinical outcomes to improve personalized treatment approaches. He also contributes significantly to developing clinical guidelines through organizations like the American Radium Society, addressing critical issues in thoracic radiotherapy and cancer staging.

His clinical trial work includes principal investigator roles for studies like PREMIER Registry and MAVERICK, focusing on advanced radiotherapy techniques for lung cancer.
Dr. Park leads multiple research initiatives through Yale's therapeutic radiology department, including the Thoracic Radiotherapy Program and PET-Guided Radiotherapy Program. He collaborates extensively with colleagues across Yale Cancer Center's multidisciplinary teams, particularly within the Center for Thoracic Cancers, Head and Neck Cancers Program, and other specialized cancer centers.
