Henry Matthews is a Senior Lecturer at the Writtle School of Agriculture, Animal and Environmental Sciences within the Faculty of Science and Engineering at Anglia Ruskin University. His expertise spans practical agriculture, farm management, crop and livestock production, farm diversification, regenerative practices, and environmental stewardship.
His educational background includes:

Matthews' research focuses on regenerative agriculture, sustainability of food systems, adding value to agricultural and horticultural products, value chain development in former Soviet States, and organic and biodynamic farming. He has applied this research in international contexts, particularly in Eastern Europe, Central Asia, Africa, and South America.
He is recognized as a Fellow of the Institute of Agricultural Management.
His consultancy work includes significant projects with international organizations such as the Food and Agriculture Organisation of the United Nations, the European Union, and various NGOs and private companies across multiple continents. Domestically, he has contributed to initiatives with the Landworkers Alliance and the British Council.
