Henry Chung

Henry Chung is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Entomology at Michigan State University, affiliated with the Ecology, Evolution & Behavior Program and the Genetics & Genome Sciences Program. He leads the Chung Lab, which investigates molecular and physiological mechanisms of insect adaptation to environmental stressors and anthropogenic chemicals (e.g., insecticides), with a focus on speciation processes in Drosophila and other insects.

His research encompasses entomology, evolutionary biology, and molecular physiology, with emphasis on:

• Cuticular hydrocarbon biosynthesis and its role in desiccation resistance
• Evolution of insecticide resistance mechanisms
