Henning Nuissl

Prof. Dr. Henning Nuissl is a Full Professor of Applied Geography and Spatial Planning at Humboldt University of Berlin, part of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences. He holds a Ph.D. from BTU Cottbus and habilitation from TU Berlin. His academic career includes roles at multiple universities and research institutions, including the Helmholtz Centre for Environmental Research (UFZ). His research focuses on urban development, land-use change, spatial governance, socio-spatial structures, and migration-driven integration policies. He teaches courses on urban planning, regional development, and spatial policy at Humboldt University and previously at institutions like TU Berlin and University of Potsdam.
