Henning Meschede

Henning Meschede serves as Head Professor of Energy System Technologies (EST) at the University of Paderborn and Chairman of the Competence Center for Sustainable Energy Technology (KET). His research focuses on sustainable materials, processes, and products within integrated energy systems.

His primary research interests encompass energy system modeling, industrial decarbonization, and flexible integration of renewable energy sources. Specializing in process heat electrification and thermal energy storage, his work addresses critical challenges in manufacturing sector decarbonization and grid stability through innovative flexibility solutions.
