Heng Li is an Associate Professor of Biomedical Informatics at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and Harvard Medical School. His research focuses on developing computational algorithms for analyzing high-throughput sequencing data, with key contributions to tools like BWA, samtools, minimap2, and seqtk. He specializes in sequence alignment, variant calling, genome assembly, and data storage.
