Hendrik Lohse is an Associate Professor of Organizational Behaviour at EM Normandie since 2024. He has held various leadership roles at the institution, including Director of Development (2022–2024), Director of International Affairs (2019–2022), and Director of the Oxford Campus (2016–2019). Previously, he served as Head of the ‘International Logistics and Crisis Management’ Master's programme (2009–2010) and Director of the Port Institute for Education and Research (IPER) (2010–2016). His professional background includes roles as a claims manager at Groupama Transport, lawyer at the Grand Port Maritime du Havre, and consultant for the International Maritime Organisation (IMO).
Education: Master's in Economic Law (University of Le Havre-Normandie), Doctorate in Business Administration (IAE Lyon School of Management & Business Science Institute, Wiltz, 2018), and current PhD candidate in Management at the Adam Smith Business School, University of Glasgow (expected 2025).
Research focuses on leadership theories, change management, and generational aspects of HRM. His work spans maritime logistics, port governance, and crisis management, with notable contributions to port reform, LNG bunkering, and poverty reduction through maritime facilitation. He is certified in LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® facilitation for executive training.
Publications include peer-reviewed articles, conference proceedings, and reports for the IMO, addressing port authority dynamics, environmental sustainability, and strategic port development. His academic engagement includes international conferences in logistics, port policy, and organizational behavior.
Leadership and advisory roles include contributions to port policy reforms in Africa and Latin America, reflecting his interdisciplinary expertise in business administration and maritime studies.
