Hemanga Gogoi is a Doctoral Research Fellow at the University of Oslo (UiO), affiliated with the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences. He is part of the Nikolina Sekulic Group specializing in Structural Biology and Chromatin. His research focuses on understanding molecular mechanisms of proteins, particularly in the context of structural biology, enzymology, and their roles in diseases such as cancer and neurodegenerative disorders. He holds a PhD and has contributed to high-impact studies on protein structure-function relationships. Contact: hemanga.gogoi@ncmbm.uio.no
Research interests include structural biology of kinases, chromatin dynamics, and computational approaches to drug discovery. His work bridges biochemical experiments and structural analyses to elucidate mechanisms underlying cellular processes.
Publications highlight contributions to understanding Aurora B kinase activation, sirtuin-6 modulators, and α-synuclein interactions. His recent work (2024) explores Tau phosphorylation’s role in neurodegenerative diseases.
No academic awards or grants are explicitly mentioned. He collaborates in the Sekulic Group, contributing to interdisciplinary projects at the intersection of biochemistry and structural biology.
