Helena Belgrave

Dr. Helena Belgrave is a Lecturer and Professional Practice Lead at Regent's University London, where she also serves as a Placement Coordinator and Personal Tutor in the Counselling Psychology Team (since 2021). Her roles include teaching undergraduate Psychology, supervising DPsych trainees, and coordinating clinical placements. She maintains a private practice specializing in perinatal clients and has extensive NHS experience through Newham Talking Therapies (2014–2016).

Education: Currently completing a Postgraduate Certificate in Higher Education, holds a Professional Doctorate in Counselling Psychology (DPsych) and a BA (Hons) in Psychology. Research focuses on perinatal theory, existential perspectives in trainee experiences, and financial dependencies in academic training. Professional affiliations include HCPC registration and Chartered Membership with the British Psychological Society (BPS).

Teaching spans formal university roles and informal workshops on perinatal issues for organizations. She has also contributed to the University of East London’s DPsych program through annual lectures on theory and practice. Supervision activities center on trainees’ clinical and academic development within the DPsych program.
