Helen Y. Duley

Helen Y. Duley serves as Assistant Professor of Kinesiology and Exercise Sciences at the University of Hawaiʻi at Hilo, with dual affiliation to the Kinesiology and Exercise Sciences Department and the Kīpuka Native Hawaiian Student Center. She additionally holds the role of Advisor for the Indigenous Public Health Certificate program.

Her research focuses on the intersection of Kinesiology, Exercise Sciences, and Indigenous Health frameworks, with specialized emphasis on Native Hawaiian communities. Dr. Duley integrates traditional knowledge systems with contemporary public health practices to address community wellness through culturally grounded approaches to physical activity and health promotion.
