معرفی
Dr Helen Rutlidge is a Lecturer in the School of Chemical Engineering at the University of New South Wales (UNSW). Her research focuses on the organic chemistry of surface and groundwater interactions, natural organic matter characterisation, and cave and karst water quality processes, utilizing stable water isotope hydrology and laser ablation techniques. She has contributed to understanding carbon cycling in groundwater systems and its implications for water treatment and paleoclimate reconstructions.
- Research Trends: Recent work examines alluvial storage dynamics, batch effect mitigation in mass spectrometry, and climate change impacts on groundwater organic carbon.
- Scientific Awards:
- RAAP NSW Co-Investment Support (2019, 2018)
- UNSW Major Equipment Grant (2018)
- AINSE Research Grant (2014)
- Teaching: Delivers courses like CVEN9884 Environmental Chemical and Microbial Processes, CVEN9885 Contaminant Transformation, and CVEN9630 Groundwater Hydrology.
- Collaborations: Works with institutions including the National Centre for Groundwater Research and Training and Mark Wainwright Analytical Centre.
