Professor Helen Parish is a historian specializing in early modern European history, particularly focusing on religious belief, witchcraft, and the Reformation at the University of Reading's Department of History. She holds a D.Phil from the University of Oxford and has contributed extensively to scholarship on clerical celibacy, superstition, and the intersection of religion and culture.
Education & Roles: After completing her D.Phil at Oxford, she held a Junior Research Fellowship at Wolfson College. Since 1999, she has been a faculty member at the University of Reading, serving in leadership roles such as Head of Department and Director of Research.
