RMIT Distinguished Professor Helen Lingard holds a Professorship in the School of Property, Construction and Project Management at RMIT University. Her career spans academic and industry roles since 1990, including leadership in the Construction Work Health and Safety Research @ RMIT group (founded 2014). Her research focuses on occupational safety, wellbeing, and gender equity in construction, supported by ARC funding and industry partnerships.
Education Background: Prior roles include Senior Research Fellow at University of Hong Kong (1990–1994) and academic positions at University of Melbourne (1999–2003). She transitioned to RMIT in 1996, holding roles from Lecturer to Associate Professor before her current Distinguished Professorship (2016–present).

- Workplace safety metrics and client-contractor dynamics
- Gender inclusion and mental health in construction
- Work-life balance and job quality across Australia and Bangladesh

- Piloted initiatives to reduce work hours and promote health in construction (2022)
