Dr. Helen Jackson is a Senior Lecturer and Research Director for Communication, Cultural & Media Studies at Ulster University's School of Communication and Media. She has taught for 18 years on the Interactive Media/Digital Media Production degree program.

- Supervisor for 6 PhD students in media and technology disciplines

Her research focuses on how emerging media technologies interact with public cultures of economic activity, particularly examining AR/VR's role in creative negotiation of experiences. She has developed immersive interpretive apps for smartphones, AR marketing solutions, and VR experiences for museums.
