معرفی
Professor Helen Brindley is a Professor in Earth Observation at the Department of Physics, Faculty of Natural Sciences, Imperial College London. Her affiliations include the Earth Observation Network, Grantham Institute, Network of Excellence in Air Quality, Space Lab, and Space and Atmospheric Physics Group. She leads UK activities for the European Space Agency's FORUM mission and is PI for the Geostationary Earth Radiation Budget instrument aboard Meteosat satellites.
Her research focuses on measuring variability in Earth's radiation budget, linking high-resolution spectral/spatial/temporal data to climate processes. She holds a PhD in Atmospheric Physics from Imperial College London and a BSc in Physics and Meteorology from the University of Reading. As Divisional Director at the UK National Centre for Earth Observation, she oversees research on Earth's energy and water cycles.
Her work integrates space-based instrumentation, climate modeling, and environmental analysis to address critical questions in global climate science. Current projects emphasize preparing for the 2027 FORUM mission and advancing geostationary observation capabilities.
