Associate Professor Helen Askell-Williams is part of the College of Education, Psychology and Social Work at Flinders University, specializing in Educational Psychology and Mental Health Promotion. She leads research on student and teacher knowledge about learning, mental health interventions in schools, and cross-cultural wellbeing studies. Her work contributes to UN Sustainable Development Goals related to education and mental health.
Research Interests include: Teachers' and students' cognitive strategies, mental health promotion frameworks, and transnational educational collaborations. She has conducted evaluations of initiatives like KidsMatter and led projects funded by the Australian Research Council and European Commission.
