Prof. Heike Mayer is a Full Professor of Economic Geography at the University of Bern's Geographical Institute, leading the Economic Geography Unit and serving as Deputy Director of the Center for Regional Economic Development (CRED). She has held adjunct roles at Virginia Tech and visiting professorships at institutions like the University of Bayreuth and Pisa.
