Heide Brandtstädter

Prof. Dr.-Ing. Heide Brandtstädter serves as a Professor and University Lecturer at Berlin University of Applied Sciences (HTW Berlin) within the School of Engineering - Energy and Information. She holds dual roles as Programme Representative for the Electrical Engineering Bachelor's program and University Lecturer for both Bachelor's and Master's Electrical Engineering programs, while also managing the Control Engineering laboratory.

Her research centers on advanced control systems with specific expertise in sliding mode control theory, electric power grid regulation, and electromechanical drive systems. She employs rigorous mathematical modeling of dynamic systems across all research domains, with particular emphasis on practical applications in energy infrastructure and industrial automation.

Prof. Brandtstädter oversees the Control Engineering laboratory and has contributed to one research project. She maintains structured student communication through Moodle for course matters and remains accessible via email or phone during standard office hours for academic inquiries.
