Hege Bakken

Hege Bakken is an Assistant Professor in Social Education at Molde University College, part of the Faculty of Health Sciences and Social Care. She holds a Cand.polit. in Sociology from NTNU (Trondheim) and a 1-year Practical-Pedagogical Education, also from NTNU. Her academic roles include Director of the Bachelor's degree in Social Care and teaching in areas such as Sociology, Disability and Inclusion, and Learning-Oriented Professional Education.

Her research focuses on inclusive practices, assistive technology for persons with intellectual disabilities, and interprofessional collaboration. Notable projects include the 'I Can!' initiative exploring assistive technology in lifelong services, and co-creating research courses with individuals with intellectual disabilities. Bakken has published extensively on topics like cognitive assistive technology implementation, participatory research methods, and challenges in clinical mentorship.

She contributes to the Disability and habilitation research group and has engaged in media discussions about disability inclusion through NRK and regional publications. Her work emphasizes empowering marginalized groups through inclusive methodologies and technology integration.
