Dr. Hedva Spitzer is a Teaching Professor at the School of Electrical Engineering within Tel Aviv University's Iby and Aladar Fleischman Faculty of Engineering.
The Vision Research Lab focuses on:
- Computational visual models and psychophysical experiments
- Chromatic/achromatic adaptation mechanisms for HDR image processing
- Visual texture detection and lateral facilitation (line/texture completions)
- Saccadic suppression mechanisms applied to ego-motion vs. object motion analysis
- Contour phenomena, chromatic aberration, and shape-from-motion algorithms
Her work bridges visual neuroscience with applied image processing techniques.
