Dr. Heather McMullen is a Senior Lecturer at the Wolfson Institute of Population Health, Queen Mary University of London, where she leads the Gender, Sexuality and Health course on the MSc in Global Public Health. Her research focuses on bodily autonomy, stigma, and complexity, with a strong emphasis on sexual and reproductive rights and health (SRHR), reproductive justice, and climate change intersections. She collaborates with global organizations like UNFPA, WHO, and the International Planned Parenthood Federation. Current projects include the HEAL initiative on youth violence in East London and a UNFPA partnership exploring climate change impacts on SRHR. She is also a visiting scholar at Cambridge University's Reproductive Sociology group (2022).
