Heather McLaughlin

Dr. Heather McLaughlin is a Research Associate at the Sainsbury Laboratory, University of Cambridge, affiliated with the Department of Plant Sciences. Her work focuses on phytohormone regulation of meristematic tissues in plants.

Research Interests: Heather investigates non-canonical auxin signaling pathways in plant growth and morphogenesis, particularly their roles in meristem regulation, phyllotaxis, and organ primordia emergence. She employs genetic studies, confocal microscopy, and computational methods to analyze auxin signaling mutants in Arabidopsis thaliana, with additional focus on auxin-cytokinin interplay.
