Dr. Heather J. Schoffstall is a Professor and Senior Associate Dean in the School of Education at Liberty University. She holds a Ph.D. in Instructional Leadership from Argosy University (2008), an M.Ed. in Special Education (Old Dominion University, 1997), and a B.A. in Counseling (Old Dominion University, 1995). Her career spans teaching in public schools, directing the Bruckner Learning Center, and leading the Center for Academic Support and Advising Services (CASAS) as Executive Director of Academics. Her research focuses on mentoring strategies to improve motivation and performance among at-risk students. She has held leadership roles since 2003, including appointments as Director of the Bruckner Learning Center (2005) and Senior Associate Dean (2015).
Her academic contributions include presentations on educational interventions, particularly the effectiveness of mentoring programs for freshmen. She emphasizes practical applications of leadership and instructional strategies in academic support systems.
