Dr. Heather J Hether is an Associate Professor of Teaching in the Department of Communication at the University of California, Davis. She holds a Ph.D. and M.A. in Communication from the University of Southern California and a B.A. in Psychology from York University. Her teaching focuses on applied communication contexts, including public relations and small group communication, informed by her prior decade-long career in marketing and public relations for private organizations in the U.S. and Canada.
Her research employs mixed methods to study public relations pedagogy and disciplinary topics like health communication campaigns.
