Haylee Harrell

Haylee Harrell is an Assistant Professor in the Department of English at the University of Houston, affiliated with the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences. They are a core member of the Critical Studies of the Americas collective and contribute to African American Studies, Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies, and the Media and Moving Image Program.

Research Interests: Dr. Harrell’s work bridges Critical Black Studies, feminist philosophy, and speculative fiction, focusing on gender, sexuality, and blackness in 20th-21st century African American and interracial literature.
