Hassan Reza is a Professor of Software Engineering at the University of North Dakota, with affiliations at North Dakota State University and UND Biomedical Engineering. He serves as technical member of the Center of Excellence for Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) and UND Research Institute for Autonomous Systems (RIAS).
His research spans software-intensive systems, AI-enabled system design, model-based engineering of cyber-physical systems, software testing, safety/security-critical systems, and blockchain/AI technologies. Specific applications include avionics, medical systems, and UAV integration into national airspace.
Education includes Ph.D. in Computer Science from North Dakota State University and M.S. from Loyola University Chicago. He has secured over $16 million in research funding from agencies including DOD, NIH, NASA, and NSF.
