Hassan Aoude

Hassan Aoude is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at the University of Ottawa since 2009. He holds a Ph.D. from McGill University (2008) and an M.Eng. from École de Technologie Supérieure (2004). His research focuses on high-performance fiber-reinforced concretes (SFRC, UHP-FRC) for extreme load applications like seismic and blast scenarios. Key research areas include structural safety of concrete parking structures, retrofitting techniques, and seismic risk assessment of masonry/concrete structures. He teaches in both English and French, emphasizing innovative methodologies like hybrid and online learning.
