Hashim Q. Zaidi

Dr. Hashim Q. Zaidi is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Emergency Medicine at UTHealth Houston. He serves as Medical Director for both the Harris Health System Transfer Center and Harris Health System EMS, and as Associate Medical Director for Rice University EMS. His work focuses on advancing prehospital care through education, research, and physician engagement.

• Education: Medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine, Residency at McGaw Medical Center of Northwestern University, EMS and Tactical Medicine Fellowship at University of Chicago.

Dr. Zaidi’s research interests span Prehospital Education, Disaster Management, Mass Casualty Incidents, Tactical Medicine, Curriculum Development, and End-of-life Care Issues. His recent activities emphasize strengthening EMS systems and optimizing emergency medical protocols.
