Harvey West is an Associate Research Professor in the Edward P. Fitts Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering at North Carolina State University, part of the College of Engineering. He manages two advanced labs focused on materials testing, chemical analysis, and additive manufacturing. His research emphasizes characterization of metal/polymer parts via 3D printing technologies, fatigue testing, and material microstructure analysis. Dr. West holds a Ph.D. (1989), MS (1982), and BS (1979) in Materials Science and Engineering from NC State.
