Hartmut Schwetlick serves as a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Mathematical Sciences at the University of Bath, with affiliations to the Centre for Mathematical Biology, EPSRC Centre for Doctoral Training in Statistical Applied Mathematics (SAMBa), and Centre for Networks and Collective Behaviour. Research Interests: Dr. Schwetlick's work spans Analysis, Partial Differential Equations, and Applied Mathematics with particular focus on biological systems modeling and numerical methods. His research examines parameter estimation processes for gene regulatory networks and bacteria-phage infection models. In materials science, he investigates propagation phenomena and variational structures, including traveling wave solutions in kinetic transport equations and chemotaxis. His work on elastic atomic chains, particularly the Fermi-Pasta-Ulam model with nearest neighbor interaction, and curvature-driven flows in geometric analysis represents significant contributions to the field.
Publication Trends: Recent publications demonstrate a strong interdisciplinary approach combining mathematical rigor with biological applications. His work shows consistent focus on neural crest development, pigment cell modeling in zebrafish, and geometric analysis problems.
