Dr. Harshan Kumarasingham is a Reader in Politics and History at the University of Edinburgh's School of Social and Political Science. His work bridges Politics, History, and Law, focusing on British and Commonwealth constitutional history, decolonization, and comparative political systems. He holds affiliations with institutions such as the Institute of Commonwealth Studies (London) and the Centre of South Asian Studies (Cambridge).
Dr. Kumarasingham's research explores topics like the British Empire's legacy, the Westminster model, and the constitutional frameworks of former colonies. He has authored/co-edited volumes such as The Cambridge Constitutional History of the United Kingdom and Constitution-making in Asia.
