Harsha Abeykoon is an Associate Professor in the Mechanical Engineering Department at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. His research focuses on Robotics, Reinforcement Learning, and Haptics, with applications in Bilateral Teleoperation, Biomedical Robotics, and Advanced Motion Control Systems. He has held academic positions at the University of Moratuwa, Asian Institute of Technology, and Plymouth State University.

Dr. Abeykoon’s publications span Haptic Interfaces, Bilateral Control, and Reinforcement Learning. He has received multiple Outstanding Research Performance Awards from the University of Moratuwa and Best Paper Awards at EECon.
