معرفی
Dr Harsh Beohar serves as a Lecturer in Verification and PGR Tutor at the University of Sheffield's School of Computer Science, where he is an active member of the Foundations of Computation research group. His academic profile centers on theoretical computer science with applications in software engineering and verification.
Beohar's research specializes in formal methods for software verification, particularly coalgebraic techniques applied to software product lines, behavioral equivalences, and conformance testing. His work bridges theoretical foundations with practical verification challenges, emphasizing mathematical rigor in system modeling and analysis.
Recent publications (2023-2025) reveal a strong trajectory in graded semantics, behavioral metrics, and coalgebraic modal logic. Key themes include the application of Galois connections for Hennessy-Milner theorems, quantale-valued logics, and bisimulation games, demonstrating his leadership in advancing theoretical verification frameworks.
Dr Beohar has secured two significant research grants as Principal Investigator: an EPSRC grant (2023-2025) for “Quantitative verification of software families based on coalgebraic modal logic and games” (£235,841) and a Royal Society grant (2023-2026) for “Synthesising characteristic formulae and apartness proofs for coalgebras” (£11,875). As a PGR Tutor, he mentors postgraduate research students within the School of Computer Science.
He actively contributes to the Foundations of Computation research group, collaborating on cutting-edge projects in theoretical computer science and verification methodologies.
