Professor Harris Makatsoris is a Professor of Sustainable Manufacturing Systems at King's College London, based in the Department of Engineering within the Faculty of Natural, Mathematical & Engineering Sciences. His research focuses on integrating mechanical engineering, process systems engineering, and intelligent automation to advance sustainable manufacturing, particularly in high-value chemical production and vaccine manufacturing. He holds a graduate degree from Imperial College London and is a Chartered Engineer.
Research Interests: Process intensification, flow technologies, AI-driven materials discovery, circular manufacturing, and bioprocessing for vaccines. His work emphasizes sustainable solutions through robotics, algorithmic optimization, and industrial automation.
