Dr. Harold Tara Jr is an Assistant Professor of Medicine (Medical Oncology) at Yale School of Medicine. Specializing in head, neck, prostate, and urinary system cancers, he focuses on advancing cancer treatment strategies and improving patient outcomes through personalized care. He completed his medical training at Ross University School of Medicine, followed by residency in internal medicine and a fellowship in medical oncology and hematology at Yale.
His research emphasizes clinical integration in oncology care, cancer network development, and genomic aspects of malignancies. Key projects include evaluating toxicity of interleukin-2 therapies and optimizing drug regimens in clinical trials.
Dr. Tara collaborates with programs such as the Head and Neck Cancers Program and Prostate & Urologic Cancers Program. Current clinical trials under his involvement explore novel therapies for lymphoma, head and neck cancers, and prostate cancer.
