Harlan Krumholz is the Harold H. Hines, Jr. Professor of Medicine at Yale School of Medicine and holds secondary appointments in Health Policy & Management, Statistics, and the Institution for Social and Policy Studies. He is a cardiologist, scientist, and director of the Yale New Haven Hospital Center for Outcomes Research and Evaluation (CORE), a pioneering research unit focused on improving healthcare quality, equity, and transparency.
His educational background includes a BS in Biology from Yale, an MD from Harvard Medical School, and an SM in Health Policy and Management from Harvard School of Public Health. He completed clinical training at University of California, San Francisco, and Beth Israel Hospital.
